Novel Ingredients from Seaweed Extracts (NISE)
The research group in Bangor has state of the art equipment for chemical analysis, both chromatographic spectral characterisation and elemental analysis of the chemicals, such as HPLC, prep HPLC, DMTA, GC-MS, LC-MS, NMR, Maldi Tof, quick Bradford/Lowry, ICP-OES.
The methods will allow the full chemical characterisation of bioactives secondary metabolites, and of proteins polysaccharides present in the seaweeds to be investigated.
DMTA (Dynamic mechanical thermal analysis)
